Updated CALL for the Democratic Party of New Mexico
Fall 2024 State Central Committee Meeting

Dear SCC Member,  

I am writing to provide you with the official updated CALL for the Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) Fall 2024 State Central Committee (SCC) Meeting. 

The Fall 2024 SCC Meeting will be held on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2024 at 12:00pm, in person at the Albuquerque Convention Center (401 2nd St NW, ABQ). Registration will begin at 10:30am on September 14th. 

DPNM is required to hold a Fall SCC Meeting per DPNM State Rules (Article II, Rule 1.3) for the purpose of receiving reports from the officers and standing committees, reviewing optional presentations given by our caucuses, potentially hearing any appeals of Judicial Council rulings, voting on proposed Rules amendments and proposed DPNM Resolutions, and voting to fill vacancies of elected standing committee positions and state party officer positions (such as CD vice chair). 

All Fall 2024 SCC voting will be conducted by absentee voting procedures pursuant to the meeting, in accordance with DPNM Rules Article I, Rule 5.6.

You will receive more information soon related to the content of the September 14th SCC meeting and subsequent voting. We look forward to seeing you at our Fall 2024 SCC Meeting.

Our headquarters cleaning and painting party was a success! A big thanks to our volunteers pictured above, and Allan Sauter who volunteered but isn’t pictured because he took the photo.

 

The grand opening for the headquarters now has more specific scheduling details, and will be from 1-3 PM on Sunday, July 21st.

On Sunday July 7th at 2 PM, we’ll be having a cleanup and painting party for our new headquarters located at 105 Plaza. Please wear old clothes and bring your paint brushes and drop cloths.

Save the date: The Grand Opening of headquarters will be on Sunday, July 21st. We will need volunteers to send invitation postcards. All Democratic candidates will be invited. Additional details will be forthcoming.

At Socorro county’s post-primary convention, we elected Val Anaya, Christie Smith, and Mercury Kincade as delegates to the 2nd congressional district post-primary convention on June 15th and the New Mexico post-primary convention on June 22nd. The final absentee voting results from the DPNM post-primary convention are as follows:
